INVESTIGATION
Yakampot seeks communities of artisans in Mexico to work hand in hand and partner in the development of products and processes that help them improve and preserve their textile techniques.
They guarantee equal access for vulnerable people, including people with disabilities, and support educational and teaching processes that help them integrate into the labor market.
CO-DESIGN AND TRAINING
The design area works hand in hand with artisans in the innovation of different textile techniques to preserve their cultural wealth. The empowerment of artisans is a key factor for the development of crafts, which is why they implement training to generate skills in quality sewing techniques, achieving decent employment.
The design team receives the crafts to begin production in maquilas and then finish each of the garments in detail.
SALE
Once production is finished, the garments go out to different points of sale National and international.
They allocate 27% of the value of each product to the fair payment of wages and the creation of development and empowerment programs to improve the conditions of communities with a sustainable approach.
